The moisture field associated with a surface trough west of the islands will continue over the region today.
During most of the day, showers will reach mainly eastern Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
In the afternoon, the available moisture and moderate easterly winds will favor the development of streamers, forming over the westward areas of the USVI, El Yunque, and the Cordillera Central.
HAZARDOUS CONDITIONS FOR SMALL CRAFT AND BEACHGOERS
High Risk of Life-Threatening Rip Currents due to breaking waves up to around 6 feet.
Small Craft Advisory due to seas up to 6 to 8 feet and winds up to 15 to 20 kts, with higher gusts. Hazardous seas for small craft.
