BREAKING NEWS: VIPD Issues Wanted Alert for St. Croix Man in Domestic Violence Case

FREDERIKSTED — The Virgin Islands Police Department (VIPD) is asking for the community’s help to locate a 44-year-old St. Croix man wanted in connection with a domestic violence investigation.

Dewayne Hendricks is currently wanted for Simple Assault (Domestic Violence). According to the Criminal Investigation Bureau, Hendricks is a resident of St. Croix and is known to frequent several high-traffic areas in the West End.

Police indicated that Hendricks is known to frequent the Freedom City Gas Station and Bella Secret. Residents and commuters in the Frederiksted area are urged to remain vigilant.

Public Safety Warning

The VIPD explicitly warns the public NOT TO APPROACH Hendricks if spotted. He is considered a fugitive, and the department reminds the public that harboring a fugitive is a crime punishable under Virgin Islands law.
