DPNR Emphasizes Importance of Reading With 'Adventure in Library' ... Deadline Thurs

CHARLOTTE AMALIE — The Department of Planning and Natural Resources announces its first territorial summer camp, “Adventure at Your Library.”

The “Adventure at Your Library” Summer camp is designed to foster and promote a great appreciation for libraries in its participants, while offering them an unforgettable experience in nature and their community, DPNR Commissioner Dawn Henry said.

The camp is geared for children between the ages of seven (7) and twelve (12) years old. Lunch will be provided along with story time, educational activities, field trips, arts and crafts and much more.

The “Adventure at Your Library” Summer camp starts on Monday, July 9th through Friday, August 3rd, 2018, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday at the following libraries:

ST. CROIX

  • Florence A. Williams Public Library

ST. THOMAS

  • Charles Wesley Turnbull Regional Public Library

Applications are currently available at the respective library.  Application deadline is Thursday, June 28, 2018.  There are limited seats and completed applications will be accepted on a first come first served basis.
