CHRISTIANSTED — The Executive Committee of the Territorial Board has decided to not renew the contracts of the CEO and CFO of the Juan F. Luis Hospital and Medical Center.
The following actions to be implemented immediately:
1. Engagement of a consulting firm to provide highly experienced interim leadership (CEO & CFO) to oversee recovery efforts and improvements in day to day operations of the hospital. This will be contingent upon the final determination the before the Senate which seeks the merger of the two hospitals in the territory.
2. The Territorial Board has appointed an Acting CEO, Acting COO, and Acting CFO while conducting a highly expedited process to get the cfo consulting team in place.
Thus, the Government Hospitals and Health Facilities Corporation’s Executive Committee announces new leadership for the hospital effective immediately.
They have chosen Dyma Williams BSN RN CPHRM MJ, current Corporate Compliance Officer and Risk Manager as the Acting Chief Executive Officer.
Joining her in the role of Acting Chief Operating Officer is long time JFL employee, Angeline Ravariere, MBA ACHE, current administrative team member working with regulatory compliance and facilities management.
Completing the new leadership team is Shenel Moorehead who will assume the duties of Acting Chief Financial Officer.
The Territorial Board look forward to working with the new JFL leadership.
This was a political hit job. Why did the territorial board bypass the district board ? None of the new leadership is even remotely qualified. Just look at their experience. A risk manger as ceo. An ex facility director as coo and a CFO that Zero experience. God help St Croix.
