WANTED BY VIPD: Jared A. Worrell, 31, of Estate Little La Grange, St. Croix for questioning about a murder this month.
FREDERIKSTED — Police are seeking information about the whereabouts of a St. Croix wanted for questioning in connection with a homicide.
Jared A. Worrell, 31, of Frederiksted is a “person of interest” in the murder of an Estate Little La Grange man earlier this month, according to the Virgin Islands Police Department.
Joseph Mark Graffis’ bullet-riddled body was discovered two days after he was shot to death on general election day November 6.
VIPD spokesman Glen Dratte told the St. Croix Avis that Worrell has not been seen since November 8, the day 67-year-old Graffis was discovered.
Police describe Worrell as a Caucasian man with a light complexion. He stands 6-foot-3 inches tall and weighs about 160 pounds, with some facial hair and long brown hair in dreadlocks.
VIPD’s Dratte said that police detectives want to question Worrell about Graffis’ death.
He was described by police as being a “roommate” of the dead man Graffis and he is known to frequent Frederiksted town.
Dratte sent the photo of Worrell and his “person of interest” wanted poster to the Virgin Islands Free Press at 1:05 p.m. today.
The VIPD gave the information to selected media on Wednesday, but not the V.I. Free Press.
If you see Worrell, police ask you to please contact Detective Aisha Jules at the Criminal Investigation Bureau Major Crimes Unit at (340) 778-2211 or Crimestoppers USVI at 1-800-222-8477 or 911.
