MIAMI — With its growing fleet of modern luxury cruise ships, Celebrity Cruises has unveiled a 2020-2021 season with more ships and more time in the Caribbean.
The yet-to-be-launched Celebrity Apex and the new Celebrity Edge will join Celebrity Reflection and three newly modernized ships, Celebrity Infinity, Celebrity Summit and Celebrity Equinox to offer more nights in the Caribbean and new itineraries visiting 27 destinations in 18 countries.
The cruise line will offer longer stays in ports, with 213 stops with more than 10 hours in port and Eastern Caribbean itineraries to San Juan, St. Thomas and St. Kitts will be available for the entire winter season.
The Celebrity Apex, after an inaugural European season, will winter in the Caribbean, sailing from Celebrity’s new state-of-the-art terminal at Port Everglades in Florida on seven-night Western and Eastern Caribbean itineraries that will depart every Saturday. Eastern Caribbean sailings will visit Puerto Rico, the British Virgin Islands and Sint Maarten, while its Western Caribbean itinerary sailings will stop at Key West, Costa Maya, Mexico, Cozumel, Mexico and the Cayman Islands.
The Celebrity Edge has just returned to the Caribbean, sailing seven-night Eastern and Western Caribbean itineraries, departing Fort Lauderdale on Sundays. Guests can also combine both itineraries back-to-back for a 14-night Caribbean escape.
The Celebrity Equinox will continue year-round Caribbean sailings from Miami, with two new summer sailings. The first is an eight-night itinerary that visits five islands, including Puerto Rico, St. Thomas, St. Maarten and the British Virgin Islands. The second is a shorter, six-night sailing from Sunday to Saturday, visiting Key West, Grand Cayman and Cozumel, Mexico. Celebrity Equinox will also provide longer nine- and 12-night Southern Caribbean sailings during the winter months, showcasing St. Croix, Antigua, Barbados, St. Lucia, Grenada, St. Vincent, St. Kitts and Nevis, Aruba, Bonaire, Curaçao and Grand Cayman.
The Celebrity Summit, one of the first Celebrity ships to be modernized will return to San Juan, Puerto Rico as its home port for the winter season. The seven-night Southern Caribbean itineraries will visit St. Kitts and Nevis, Bonaire, Aruba and Curaçao. In addition, for the first time, Celebrity Summit will transit through the Panama Canal between Fort Lauderdale and San Diego, stopping in Cartagena, Colombia, Panama, the Panama Canal, Costa Rica, Guatemala; Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, and Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.
The award-winning Celebrity Reflection will offer 10- or 11-night Caribbean expeditions, sailing to wish-listed Caribbean destinations, including Antigua, Barbados, Aruba, and Curaçao, as well as Costa Rica and Panama. The Celebrity Infinity will cater to quick getaway guests, sailing from Miami on alternating four- and five-night Western Caribbean itineraries calling on Key West, Cozumel and the Bahamas.
