CHARLOTTE AMALIE — The Virgin Islands Department of Public Works (DPW) said that traffic signals at the intersection by Bellows International are temporarily out of service.
“The department is working to complete repairs and get traffic signals back online and functional as soon as possible,” DPW spokeswoman Renée Exius said.
In the interim, the department is advising motorists on Route 30 heading east after passing the Bureau of Motor Vehicles to exercise extreme caution and be ready to come to a complete stop, and yield the right of way, if need be.
“DPW is also urging pedestrians to proceed with caution as they traverse this intersection,” Exius said.
The Department of Public Works said it appreciates the community’s patience as “they work to improve the territory’s infrastructure.”
