FREDERIKSTED — The VIPD is trying to find Sol Belinda “Misael” Garcia to question her about a stabbing that occurred on St. Croix two years ago.
Garcia is wanted for questioning in regards to a stabbing incident that took place in Frederiksted in 2018, the Virgin Islands Police Department said.
Garcia is a 44-year-old Hispanic female. She stands 5-feet-2 inches tall, and weighs about 167 pounds. She has brown hair and brown eyes, a rose with “Misael” tattoo on the right side of her neck, a hearts and dollar signs tattoo on the left side of her neck, a panther tattoo on her back, and a hearts with “Andy” and “Sol” tattoo on her right leg. Garcia frequents Lower Love Service Station.
“The VIPD is asking for the community’s help in locating Garcia,” VIPD spokesman Toby Derima said.
Garcia is officially wanted by police for a third-degree assault in connection to a stabbing incident that took place in Frederiksted in 2018, Derima told the Virgin Islands Free Press at 6:41 p.m. on Sunday February 16.
Friends and family members, including Garcia’s own daughter Rosa Mendosa were careful to say that she has not lived on St. Croix for two years.
But the Virgin Islands Police Department said that Garcia was living on island two years ago when the stabbing incident occurred.
“That’s my mom an that’s a lie my mom is off this island for years now,” Rosa Mendosa said on Facebook.
“I was just about to comment on this shit and say she’s not even on island ????so how the fuck they got this up,” Samantha Olivia Nieves said.
“I will really love this motherfucker’s location,” Rosa Mendosa wrote.
“He (reporter John McCarthy) need to be found ASAP,” Beatrice Morales said on Facebook.
