Sion Farm Man Wanted On Domestic Violence Charge Turns Himself In: VIPD

CHRISTIANSTED — A St. Croix man wanted on a domestic violence charge has voluntarily surrendered to authorities without incident, police said.

Rashede “Bopps” Emanuel, 39, of Sion Farm was arrested about 11:27 p.m. Thursday and charged with first-degree burglary-domestic violence, the Virgin Islands Police Department said..

“Emanuel was arrested for breaking into his former girlfriend’s home and assaulting her, causing visible injuries,” VIPD spokesman Toby Derima said.

No bail was offered to Emanuel, in keeping with local domestic violence laws.

He was remanded to the custody of the Virgin Islands Bureau of Corrections (BOC) pending an advice-of-rights hearing.
