CHARLOTTE AMALIE – Police are investigating an armed robbery of a motorist in downtown St. Thomas this evening, authorities said.
The 911 Emergency Call Center dispatched officers to Estate Nisky regarding a robbery about 5:52 p.m. today, the Virgin Islands Police Department said.
“The victim reported that he was seated in his vehicle when he was approached by two masked males who appeared to be armed, VIPD spokesman Toby Derima said. “The suspects demanded his money and took a bag that contained cash.”
The suspects left the area in a white Jeep Wrangler that was later found in Contact Knolls, according to Derima.
The VIPD is asking for the community’s assistance in finding these suspects.
