PBS Disaster Recovery Show To Focus On Recreational Facilities In The Territory

CHRISTIANSTED —  The next episode of Recovery in Focus will give viewers an update on recreational facilities throughout the territory.

The episode’s guests include: Daryl Griffith, Virgin Islands Housing Finance Authority executive director, Calvert White, commissioner of the Department of Sports, Parks and Recreation, and Nereida Washington, director of campus operations for the University of the Virgin Islands along with host Adrienne Williams-Octalien, director of the Office of Disaster Recovery.

The show will include updates on top recreational projects in the territory in addition to information on plans for the University of the Virgin Islands Multi-Purpose Complex.

Griffith will share new developments on the EnVIsion Tomorrow Program and other Community Block Grant Disaster Recovery Program initiatives.

Recovery in Focus premiered in March and will continue to provide viewers with the most recent developments in ODR’s five priority areas: hospitals, schools, roads, housing, and power, as well as other critical projects that impact the daily lives of residents.

A new episode of Recovery in Focus will air on the last Thursday of every month.
