BETHLEHEM — Virgin Islands National Guard Capt. Maria Bruno issued the following prepared statement at 10:47 p.m. Saturday:
“According to a press release by the Virgin Islands Police Department, Aaron Henry, a member of the V.I. Air National Guard was arrested on Aug. 27 and charged with two counts of rape, one count of assault and one count of unlawful sexual contact.”
“The Virgin Islands National Guard is aware of the allegations made against Henry and is attentively following his case and taking appropriate measures in accordance with all applicable law and Air Force regulations.”
“VING’s primary goal is to continue to uphold a climate where Service members live the Army and Air core values, knowing that sexual assault has no place in the Guard and will not be tolerated.”
“The investigation by the VIPD is ongoing.”
Henry said on Facebook that he also works at Champs Sports in the Sunny Isle Shopping Center.
