CHRISTIANSTED — Gunfire rang out at a Watergut-area housing project Friday night leaving one woman shot in the hand, authorities and eyewitnesses said.
The 911 Emergency Call Center dispatched officers to D. Hamilton Jackson Terrace in reference to reports of shots fired with a possible victim at 9:21 p.m. Friday, the Virgin Islands Police Department said.
