CHARLOTTE AMALIE — A St. Thomas man is accused of getting into a heated argument with another man and pulling a gun on him, authorities said.
Laron Murrain, 46, of Lindbergh Bay was arrested at 9:05 a.m. Saturday and charged with possession of an unlicensed firearm and brandishing or exhibiting a firearm, the Virgin Islands Police Department said.
“The preliminary investigation revealed Murrain allegedly pointed a firearm at a man, during a verbal altercation at a store in Lindbergh Bay, on November 28,” VIPD spokesman Toby Derima said.
Bail for Murrain was set at $50,000. Unable to post bail, he was remanded to the custody of the Virgin Islands Bureau of Corrections (BOC) pending an advice-of-rights hearing.
