CHRISTIANSTED — A security guard was robbed of his jewelry inside the Limetree Bay refinery housing facility early Saturday morning, authorities said.
The 911 Emergency Call Center received a call of a robbery at the Limetree Bay refinery housing area at 3:59 a.m. Saturday, the Virgin Islands Police Department said.
The victim in this incident, a security guard who was posted at the Man Camp entrance, reported that a male individual with dreadlocks, wearing a red hooded jacket, blue ripped jeans and brown Gucci slippers exited in a maroon truck with a black trailer attached, the VIPD said.
“The suspect approached the security guard with a firearm and robbed the guard of jewelry,” VIPD spokesman Toby Derima said.
The suspect then fled the area, towards the intersection of the Sunny Isle Shopping Center, Derima said.
