Carlton Road To Be Closed For Road Work Starting Tomorrow: DPW Says

FREDERISTED — The Department of Public Works is advising the St. Croix community that Carlton Road will be closed starting tomorrow.

During this time, the contractor, Marco St. Croix will be shaping and compacting aggregate for the road base on Carlton Road, according to DPW.

“This closure is expected to last 30 working days,” DPW spokeswoman Renee Exius said. “Motorists are urged to avoid this area while construction is in progress.”

The department said it is asking the public to adhere to all traffic controls, personnel, and construction signs.

Alternate routes include Routes 63 (Good Hope Road), 701 (Campo Whim Road), and 665 (Williams Delight Road).
