Police Investigate Man Shot In Head In Parked Car In Broad Daylight At Williams Delight This Morning: VIPD

CHRISTIANSTED — Police are looking for the gunman or gunmen who executed a St. Croix man sitting in his parked car in broad daylight on the central thoroughfare of Williams Delight this morning, authorities said.

The deadly shooting happened before 9:57 a.m. today on Main Street in Williams Delight when a report of shots fired came in to the 911 Emergency Call Center, the Virgin Islands Police Department

Kevin Jerome, 30, of Williams Delight, was positively identified by next of kin as the shooting victim, according to the VIPD.

“Upon the officers’ arrival, they discovered a Black male with a gunshot wound to the head and an older model SUV with multiple bullet holes,” VIPD spokesman Toby Derima said.

Jerome was transported to the Juan F. Luis Hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries and died, Derima said.

“Take a stance against violence by speaking up and ensuring justice for the family and the community,” Police Chief Sidney Elskoe said.
