CHARLOTTE AMALIE — Police need your help tonight to find a St. Thomas man wanted for a 2018 murder.

Mohammed Bazar, 22, is wanted in connection with the murder of Jamal George, according to posts on the Virgin Islands Police Department’s social media pages.

George, 23, was found dead sitting behind the wheel of a running car in Estate Solberg on the morning of June 13, 2018. Police said George had suffered multiple gunshot wounds.

Police have been mostly silent about the homicide in the intervening two and a half years since George was killed.

Bazar is described by police as being a Middle Eastern male who stands 6-feet, 4-inches tall and weighs about 245 pounds, according to the VIPD.

“His family sent him off island,” Shelly McDonald said on Facebook, commenting on the Virgin Islands Free Press‘ report.

“He went back to Jordan,” Ronald Jay said, adding an emoji of the Jordanian state flag.
