St. Thomas Man Who Allegedly Attacked Woman While She Was Holding Her Child Arrested: VIPD

CHARLOTTE AMALIE — A St. Thomas man who allegedly attacked a woman while she was holding her child has been arrested on domestic violence-related assault charges, authorities said.

Emile Ronaldo Lake, 41, of Frydendahl, was arrested at 3:30 a.m. Sunday and charged with third-degree assault-domestic violence, the Virgin Islands Police Department said.

“The victim reported Lake physically assaulted her while holding her minor child,” VIPD spokesman Toby Derima said.

Bail was not offered to Lake, in accordance with the territory’s domestic violence laws. Lake was remanded to the custody of the Bureau of Corrections, pending an advice-of-rights hearing.
