CHARLOTTE AMALIE — The Department of Public Works (DPW) is advising the community of upcoming road work on Bunker Hill.
Starting Thursday, Bunker Hill and its connecting roads will be closed to vehicular traffic to allow for milling and paving of this major St. Thomas artery, according to DPW. No parking will be allowed on the hill during construction hours.
“Island Roads also began pavement restoration and milling in front of the Public Finance Authority this week,” DPW spokeswoman Renee Exius said. “Work in that location is expected to be completed by May 5. The public is asked to use alternate routes in both areas until the projects are completed.”
DPW “appreciates the community’s patience as they work to improve road conditions throughout the territory,” Exius said.
