CHARLOTTE AMALIE — Police are investigating after the driver of a motorcycle was knocked off of his vehicle near the St. Thomas waterfront area this evening, authorities said.
The 911 Emergency Call Center got a report of a vehicle accident on Veterans Drive near the old Boy Scouts Building, the Virgin Islands Police Department said on Facebook tonight.
A male was knocked off of his motorcycle and traffic was reduced to only one lane near the accident scene, according to the VIPD.
Virgin Islands EMS, the Virgin Islands Fire Service (VIFS) and the VIPD converged on the scene minutes after the accident took place.
Police said an “ambulance was in route” to take the accident victim to the Schneider Regional Medical Center for treatment.
