Charter Boat Operator Arrested For Slugging Girlfriend and Destroying Her Cell Phone

CHARLOTTE AMALIE — A prominent St. Thomas charter boat operator was arrested yesterday on domestic violence related charges in connection to assaulting a woman and damaging her cell phone this weekend, authorities said.

Adam Reeve, 41, of Charlotte Amalie, was arrested at 7:10 a.m. Wednesday and charged with second-degree assault-domestic violence, simple assault-domestic violence, destruction of property-domestic violence and disturbance of the peace-domestic violence, the Virgin Islands Police Department said.

“The female victim reported that her boyfriend, Mr. Reeve, assaulted her and damaged her cell phone on Sunday, December 4, 2022, while in their residence,” VIPD Communications Director Glen Dratte said.

Learning he was wanted by police, Reeve turned himself into the Domestic Violence Unit early Wednesday, according to Dratte.

Reeve was advised of his Miranda Rights, booked, processed, and remanded to the custody of the Bureau of Corrections pending an advice-of-rights hearing.

The suspect is a native of St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands and a graduate of Antilles High School, according to social media. Reeve says he studied “Economics” at Rollins College.

He is the “owner and founder of REV Marine and works as the managing director of ‘Out Islands Charters’ and director of excursions at ‘Cruise Ship Excursions, Inc..'” he says on Facebook.
