FREDERIKSTED — Police are searching for an attempted murder suspect after a man was shot in the stomach Friday afternoon outside a restaurant on St. Croix.
Randy Lawrence, 30, is wanted in connection to a shooting incident at E&D Restaurant in Estate Mountain at 4:26 p.m., the Virgin Islands Police Department said.
One man has been hospitalized and was in stable condition after surviving the shooting, according to the VIPD.
Upon the arrival of the Officers and the CIB Detectives, they observed a male individual on the ground with a single gunshot to his stomach. He was transported to Juan F. Luis Hospital by ambulance.
The victim underwent emergency life-saving surgery and is listed in very serious but stable condition.
The suspect has been identified as Randy Lawrence 30-years-old of Lorraine Village.
Detectives are unable to locate Lawrence currently at this time. Anyone hiding him is harboring a fugitive and will be charged accordingly.
Lawrence is wanted for attempted murder and other firearm charges.
