Man caught on video arrested for firing gun in Hospital Ground

CHARLOTTE AMALIE — A 34-year-old St. Thomas man was arrested after he was allegedly caught on video firing a gun in Hospital Ground, authorities said.

Kennedy Pascal was arrested Saturday and charged with illegal discharge of a firearm and several other felony charges, the Virgin Islands Police Department said.

The charges stem from a September 28, 2024 incident in which “Pascal, along with a second subject were observed on video footage discharging several gunshots into the air in the Hospital Ground area,” according to the VIPD.

The Criminal Investigation Bureau was assigned to follow up on this matter, police said.

On Saturday, the U.S Marshals Service, along with the Virgin Islands Police Department apprehended Kennedy Pascal based on an arrest warrant issued for him, according to police.

Bail for Kennedy was set at $25,000.00. Unable to post bail, he was transferred to the custody of the Bureau of Corrections at the St. Thomas jail.
