KINGSHILL — The Virgin Islands Department of Education asks you to join them Thursday “for an informative hour on how the holidays impact mental health.”
“While they can bring joy, they often bring stress as well,” VIDE acknowledged.
Muria Nisbett, director of the U.S. Virgin Islands Vet Center and mental health therapist, will share effective coping strategies for families dealing with depression, domestic violence, and anxiety during the holidays. She will focus on the lasting effects these issues have on children.
We will giveaway 5 copies of Nisbett’s books from her “Strengthening Bonds in the Virgin Islands” Series: “A Mother-Daughter Workbook” and “A Parent/Child Workbook.”
