Man accused of series of burglaries on St. Thomas

CHARLOTTE AMALIE — A man is facing multiple charges after being accused of a series of burglaries on St. Thomas.

Jean Connor, 43, of St. Thomas was arrested and charged with third-degree burglary, grand larceny,
unlawful entry, trespassing, and disturbance of the peace, the Virgin Islands Police Department said.

Bail for Connor was set at $25,000.00.

A male victim reported to the police that between Saturday, April 5, 2025, and Monday, April 7, 2025, his construction office located at Kongens Gade was burglarized, according to the VIPD.

“Numerous tools, intended for his employees who were working on a rebuilding project, were taken,” VIPD spokeswoman Kishma Chichester said. “The victim stated that the intruder gained entry through one of the office’s windows.”

Connor was also arrested for another third-degree burglary following an incident reported on
May 8, 2025, regarding unlawful entry into a cottage and the removal of several personal items
belonging to the victim, according to Chichester.

Detectives from the Criminal Investigation Bureau (CIB) initiated an investigation and the
assailant was identified as Jean Connor, who was taken into custody and subsequently
charged.

Unable to post bail, Connor was transferred to the custody of the Bureau of Corrections at the St. Thomas jail.

Jean Connor was taken into custody in connection with both incidents on Monday, May 19,
2025.
