3rd suspect in Frederiksted Town shooting arrested

FREDERIKSTED — The third of three suspects allegedly involved in a shooting in Frederiksted Town last week has been arrested.

Lijsabbattical Henry, 19, was arrested and charged with first-degree reckless endangerment, carrying of firearms openly or concealed: during the commission of a crime of violence and possession or sale of ammunition, the Virgin Islands Police Department said.

On Friday, February 28, 2025, at approximately 10:48 p.m., the ShotSpotter application reported multiple gunshots fired in the Frederiksted Town area, according to the VIPD.

Officers responded to the scene and recovered several spent shell casings, police said.

Members of the Criminal Investigations Bureau later identified Ervin Noel Jr., Donnie Heywood, and Lijsabbattical Henry as the suspects in this incident, according to police.

On Tuesday, May 6, 2025, a Magistrate Judge of the Superior Court of the Virgin Islands in the St. Croix District issued arrest warrants for Heywood, Noel, and Henry, police said.

On Wednesday, October 8, 2025, 19-year-old Lijsabbattical Henry was detained without incident by a member of the VIPD’s Criminal Investigation Bureau at a service station in the Frederiksted area, according to police.

Bail for Henry was set at $100,000.00. Unable to post bail, he was transferred to the John A. Bell Adult Correctional Facility, in Golden Grove.

He is scheduled for an advice-of-rights hearing at the Superior Court in Estate Kingshill.

Heywood and Noel were previously apprehended and are currently being detained at the John A.
Bell Adult Correctional Facility pending further court action.
