CHRISTIANSTED — Police found two handguns and ammunition inside the residence of an accused burglar in Estate Golden Rock, authorities said.

Victor Murray III was arrested and charged with carrying a firearm openly or concealed and
possession of ammunition, the Virgin Islands Police Department said.

The charges stem from a legal search of Murray’s residence at Harbor View Apartments by the Criminal Investigation Bureau and Special Operations Bureau on October 22, 2025, at around 3:50 a.m., according to the VIPD.

Murray was then transported to the Wilbur Francis Command Police Station in Mars Hill, Frederiksted.

He was advised of his rights, booked and processed. He was taken into official custody.

Unable to post bail, he was transferred to the custody of the Bureau of Corrections at the John A. Bell Adult Correctional Facility in Golden Grove.

Murray was scheduled for an advice-of-rights hearing in the Superior Court at Kingshill this morning.
