Therese Williams accused of pointing gun at Wendy’s employee in ‘dispute’ at restaurant

CHRISTIANSTED – A St. Croix woman was charged with assault for allegedly pointing a gun at a Wendy’s employee during “a dispute “at its Sunny Isle Shopping Center restaurant, authorities said.

Therese Williams, 35, was arrested and charged with third-degree assault, carrying of firearms openly or concealed and discharging or aiming firearms, the Virgin Islands Police Department said.

On October 24, 2025, at approximately 9:28 a.m., Patrol Officers served an arrest warrant on Williams, according to the VIPD.

“The warrant was issued in connection with an incident that occurred on September 15, 2025, during which Williams reportedly pointed a firearm at a Wendy’s employee during a dispute,” VIPD spokeswoman Kishma Chichester said.

No bail was offered to Williams in keeping with the territory’s domestic violence statutes.

The suspect was read her Miranda Rights, booked and processed.

She was transferred to the custody of the Bureau of Corrections at the John A. Bell Adult Correctional Facility in Golden Grove.

Williams is scheduled for an advice-of-rights hearing in Superior Court at Estate Kingshill.
