FREDERIKSTED — Police said a month-long investigation by detectives led to the execution of a search warrant on St. Croix today.
Jamari Hendrickson, 25, was arrested and charged with first-degree reckless endangerment and carrying of a firearm openly, the Virgin Islands Police Department said.
The case began on October 27, 2025, at 4:15 p.m., when a report of a first-degree reckless endangerment was reported at the Wilbur H. Francis Command Police Station, according to the VIPD.

The victims alleged that J”amari Hendrickson pointed a firearm at them and that he fired several shots into the air while they were entering their vehicle,” police said.
“Investigation into this matter disclosed additional witnesses who stated that Hendrickson pointed a firearm at the victims and fired shots in the community,” according to police.
During the investigation into the case a search warrant was signed by an Honorable Judge of
the Superior Court on November 3, 2025, for the residence of Jamari Hendrickson, police said.

On November 12, 2025, the warrant was executed and yielded a firearm inside Hendrickson’s
residence, according to police.
At the time of the search, Hendrickson was not present, however, he was notified and he surrendered himself to officers without incident at the Wilbur H. Francis Command Police Station, police said.
Hendrickson “was advised of his Miranda Rights, and he admitted that the firearm seized at his residence during the search was his,” according to police.
The suspect was then taken into official custody, booked and processed.
His bail was set at $80,000.00. Unable to post bail, he was transferred to the custody of the Bureau of Corrections at the John A. Bell Adult Correctional Facility in Estate Golden Grove.
Hendrickson was scheduled for an advice-of-rights hearing in Superior Court at Estate Kingshill.
