FREDERIKSTED — A St. Croix man who allegedly fired a gun at his girlfriend and her daughter in Concordia now faces an attempted murder charge, authorities said.
K’Jahni A. Rivera, 23, was arrested and charged with first-degree attempted murder, the Virgin Islands Police Department said.
On November 9, 2025, at 11:02 a.m., the 911 Emergency Call Center got a report of a domestic disturbance at Concordia Manor apartments, according to the VIPD.

The female disclosed to the dispatcher that K’Jahni A. Rivera fired a shot at her and her minor children, police said.
A detective from the Criminal Investigation Bureau was assigned to investigate this matter.
Officers met with the victim and the minor children to include residents in the area, according to police.
Eyewitnesses indicated that the victim attempted to get away from Rivera, by getting into her vehicle; but. Rivera became enraged and fired a shot at her and her children while they entered her vehicle, police said.
A search of the area was conducted in an attempt to apprehend Rivera with negative results, according to police.
Therefore, an all-points bulletin was aired via the 911 Emergency Call Center and social media platforms to aid in the apprehension of Rivera, police said.
On November 10, 2025, at approximately 4:20 p.m., Rivera surrendered himself without incident to officers at the Wilbur H. Francis Command Police Station, according to police.
Rivera was taken into official custody, booked and processed.
No bail was offered to the suspect in keeping with the territory’s domestic violence laws.
Rivera was subsequently transferred to the custody of the Bureau of Corrections at the John A. Bell Adult Correctional Facility in Estate Golden Grove.
He is scheduled for an advice-of-rights hearing set for tomorrow at the Superior Court in Estate Kingshill.
