Hospital Street shooting victim won’t tell cops who shot him

FREDERIKSTED —A man survived a shooting near the waterfront on the west end in St. Croix this morning, authorities said.

On December 31, 2025, at approximately 9:30 a.m., Juan F. Luis personnel reported to the 911 Emergency Call Center, that a gunshot victim arrived at the Emergency Room via private vehicle, the Virgin Islands Police Department said.

The 911 emergency call center also received a radio transmission from Emergency Medical Services (EMS) personnel as well as several calls from citizens of multiple rounds fired at Hospital Street, Frederiksted, according to the VIPD.

“During the preliminary investigation, the victim was uncooperative with detectives,” police said in a prepared statement released this afternoon.

The VIPD and CIB are currently investigating this incident.
