Mark Turbe, 39, was arrested and charged with simple assault-domestic violence, destruction of property-domestic violence and disturbance of the peace-domestic violence, the Virgin Islands Police Department said.

The case began when Patrol Officers were dispatched to an “assault incident” on Tuesday, November 4, 2025 at 10:40 p.m., according to the VIPD.

Responding officers met with the victim who informed them that while she was in her vehicle outside her home, Mark Turbe drove up to her vehicle and began causing a disturbance, police said.

The woman stated that Turbe then attempted to pull her out of the vehicle and while struggling with him, she suffered scratches to her face, according to police.

The victim stated that Turbe damaged her windshield wipers and windshield, police said.

Turbe also “kicked her driver’s side door closed, which slammed onto the arm of their minor child,” according to police.

Officers observed the damage to the victim’s vehicle windshield and scratches to her face, VIPD spokeswoman Kishma Chichester said.

The ambulance was dispatched for the minor, who indicated he had pain in his right arm, according to Chichester.

Turbe was advised of his Miranda Rights and taken into official custody. He was then transported to the Richard Callwood Command where he was booked and processed

No bail was offered to Turbe in keeping with the territory’s domestic violence statutes.

The suspect was transferred to the custody of the Bureau of Corrections at the St. Thomas jai.

Turbe remains there pending further court action.
