EXCLUSIVE! VIPD MEMO: ‘Be On Lookout’ BOLO For Alla H. Salem on St. Thomas

CHARLOTTE AMALIE — The Virgin Islands Police Department has issued a BOLO or “Be On The Lookout” for a St. Thomas native with a possible connection to the black flags incident at the Cyril E. King International Airport today.

The BOLO says the VIPD’s Criminal Investigation Unit and Criminal Intelligence Unit is looking for Alla H. Salem, 29, in connection with the replacing of authorized flags at the St. Thomas airport with ISIS look-alike flags.

“ATTENTION: All law enforcement agencies and personnel throughout the territory of the United State Virgin Islands,” the VIPD’s WANTED poster reads. “Mr. Alla H. Salem is wanted for questioning. Any LEO (Law Enforcement Officer) making contact with this person should make contact with any Detective assigned to the Criminal Investigations Bureau or the Criminal Intelligence Unit immediately. Use caution, suspect is to be considered Armed and Dangerous.”

The BOLO says that Salem has black hair and brown eyes, stands about 6-foot, 0-inches tall and that his weight in “unknown.”

A cursory check of the Internet by the Virgin Islands Free Press reveals that Salem in a Charlotte Amalie High School (CAHS) graduate who studied biology at the University of the Virgin Islands (UVI).

On LinkedIn, Salem says that he is the CEO and owner of “Mr. Nice Guy Taxi & Limousine Service” perhaps based in Miami. His phone number begins with area code 786 which is based in Miami.

Salem says that he can speak English, Arabic and Spanish on social media.
