FREDERIKSTED — A St. Croix man was found with bullet wounds to his body when police checked to see if he was all right in Estate La Grange today.
A concerned citizen walked in to the Francis Command Zone B in Frederiksted and requested a welfare check on a resident about 3 p.m. today.
The person told police that they had not seen the victim at his house for a couple of days now.
Police went to the La Grange neighborhood to make a check on the man and discovered “a Caucasian male with what appears to be bullet wounds,” the Virgin Islands Police Department said.
The victim’s name is being withheld pending contact with a next of kin, according to the VIPD.
