Juan Luis Hospital Job Fair Considered ‘Tremendous’ Success on Friday

CHRISTIANSTED — At least 300 job seekers attended the Governor Juan F. Luis Hospital’s Job Fair that was held Friday.

The fair was centered in the Virgin Islands Cardiac Center from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday.

The fair was considered to be “a tremendous success from beginning to end as interested candidates filled all rooms of the event,” according to organizers.

Attendees were either interested in changing careers or exploring new employment opportunities, while others were seeking direction to chart a career path.

Applicants were able to connect directly with department heads, meet potential coworkers and obtain a glimpse of the work and culture at JFL; many qualified candidates had on-the-spot interviews.

“St. Croix is experiencing population expansion and JFL proactively anticipates meeting the healthcare needs of the community,” said Dyma Williams, Acting CEO. “This job fair was a great opportunity to begin JFL’s workforce development initiative.”

“Events like this do not succeed without support from many, particularly our JFL staff. We thank all the hardworking and dedicated team members that organized and successfully executed this hugely-attended event.”
