CHARLOTTE AMALIE — The St. Thomas man who shot dead in Estate Nadir on Saturday morning has been identified by police.
Jackeel L. Henry, 27, was one of two people shot at Nadir Circle about 11:50 a.m. on Saturday, the Virgin Islands Police Department said.
“Detectives found an unresponsive male in the roadway with gunshot wounds about the body,” VIPD spokesman Toby Derima said.
A female victim was also struck by gunfire and was transported to the Schneider Regional Medical Center for further medical treatment, according to the VIPD.
Henry was pronounced dead on the scene by EMT attendants, Derima said.
This case is being investigated by the Major Crime Unit.
