FREDERIKSTED — A St. Croix man was arrested and charged after police said he had sex with a 14-year-old girl, authorities said.
Ralph Brewster, 19, of Bethlehem Village was arrested at 11:02 p.m. Saturday and charged with second-degree aggravated rape, the Virgin Islands Police Department said.
“Brewster admitted to detectives that he had sexual intercourse with a 14-year-old minor,” VIPD spokesman Toby Derima said.
Bail for Brewster was set at $50,000. He was remanded to the custody of the Virgin Islands Bureau of Corrections (BOC) while bail and release conditions were being set by authorities.
