CHRISTIANSTED — A St. Croix man was pulled from his car as he was sleeping and lost his vehicle to his attacker, authorities said.
A first-degree robbery was reported to police at the Ancilmo Marshall Command in Christiansted about 2:43 a.m today, the Virgin Islands Police Department said.
The male victim reported that he was asleep in his vehicle that was parked on King Street, according to the VIPD.
“He was awakened by an unknown individual wearing a ski mask, who opened the car door and pointed a gun at him,” VIPD spokesman Toby Derima said. “The suspect pulled the victim out of the vehicle onto the ground, got into the vehicle and drove off.”
This incident is currently under active investigation.
