Boy, 11, Killed In Drive-By Shooting In Ponce On Sunday Night: PRPD

SAN JUAN — An 11-year-old boy was killed in southern Puerto Rico in a drive-by shooting that left three others injured, including his six-year-old brother, authorities said today.

Unknown gunmen shot into a car carrying the children and two adults including the boys’ mother, Sunday night in the southern coastal city of Ponce, the Puerto Rico Police Department said.

The injured child was in serious condition, according to the PRPD.

No one has been arrested.

“When I was a teenager in Ukraine in 90’s criminal situation was horrible, nevertheless the gangsters of our days had some rules, law,” Tetyana Hayes said on St. Thomas. “They were throwing their battles with each other outside of the cities or towns, where their bullets could not hurt innocent people.”
