Lover’s Tiff Turns Violent For 2 Men At Posh St. Croix Condo Friday Night: VIPD

COTTON VALLEY — A St. Croix man was arrested after he allegedly attacked his male lover during a heated argument at a posh East End condominium on Friday night, authorities said.

Khalaf Jerry, 35, of Estate Coakley Bay, was arrested at 7:59 p.m. Friday and charged with second-degree assault-domestic violence; disobeying a lawful order; interfering with an officer discharging his duties; and first-degree attempted robbery, the Virgin Islands Police Department said.

“Jerry is accused of assaulting his companion during a disagreement,” VIPD spokesman Toby Derima said. “The victim sustained injuries to his neck, arms, hands, and back.”

Jerry was remanded to the custody of the Bureau of Corrections without bail, in accordance with the territory’s domestic violence laws pending an advice-of-rights hearing.

Coakley Bay Condominiums in Estate Coakley Bay on St. Croix, where the incident took place, sell for at least $300,000 for a two-bedroom unit.

All individuals listed as arrested or charged with a crime in this report are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
