3 Women Arrested For 2021 Bar Brawl, Robbery of Female Victim

CHRISTIANSTED — Three women were arrested in connection to a St. Croix bar brawl in which another woman was robbed and attacked nearly one year ago, authorities said.

Jazmin Linares, 40, was arrested and charged with second-degree robbery, first-degree assault, third-degree assault and aggravated assault and battery, the Virgin Islands Police Department said.

Jahmesha Bethelmie, 25, and Jahlisha Caul were each arrested and charged with aggravated
assault and battery, according to the VIPD.

An investigation into the complaint revealed that Jazmin Linares, Jahmisha Bethelmie and Jahlisha Caul assaulted the victim at Coco’s Bar & Restaurant and took property belonging to the victim during the assault, VIPD spokesman Glen Dratte said.

On Friday, November 12, 2021, the 911 Emergency Call Center received a report of a robbery that occurred at the Coco’s Bar & Restaurant in Christiansted, police said.

Members of the Criminal Investigation Bureau in the St. Croix district investigated this incident and obtained an arrest warrant that was signed on September 9, 2022, by Superior Court Magistrate Judge Ernest Morris Jr.

On October 6, 2022, members of the Criminal Investigation Bureau and Marine Unit were able to
arrest the three women, according to Dratte.

Bail for Linares was set at $75,000. Bail for Bethelmie and Caul was set at $1,000 each.

All three women were placed under arrest, booked, and remanded to the John A. Bell Adult Correctional Facility pending their advice-of-rights hearings set for today in the Superior Court.
