Oregon Man Blake Knox Arrested On St. Croix Accused of Strangling His Girlfriend

CHRISTIANSTED — An Oregon man was arrested on domestic violence-related charges after he allegedly strangled his girlfriend on St. Croix.

Police said Blake Knox, 30, of Grants Pass, Oregon was arrested Monday on charges of second-degree assault-domestic violence and destruction of property.

According to the Virgin Islands Police Department (VIPD) a female acquaintance of Knox called the 911 Emergency Call Center at 1:37 a.m. Sunday to report that he assaulted her.

The woman stated that Knox strangled her and damaged her property, blocked her from exiting her vehicle, removed her keys from the ignition, took her purse and her cellphone from out of the vehicle and threw them in the nearby bushes.

No bail was set for Knox as per the domestic violence statute.

He was remanded to the Golden Grove Detention Facility pending advice of rights hearing.

On social media, Knox says that he works for Grayback Forestry Inc. which is based in Oregon.
