VIPD: Shooting Near Plaza Extra West Saturday Night Leaves Two St. Croix Men Wounded

FREDERIKSTED — Police said they are investigating a Saturday night shooting near Plaza Extra West that left two men wounded.

On Saturday May 5, 2018 at about 9:21 p.m., a male individual with gunshot a wound showed up at the Juan F. Luis Hospital.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the victim was shot in the mid-section of his body in the vicinity of the Plaza Extra West Estate Plessen, Frederiksted. He was transported to the hospital by private vehicle.

On Saturday May 5, at 10;25 p.m., a second victim, a male individual with a gunshot wound showed up at the Juan F. Luis Hospital and stated that he was at the Quick Serve Gas Station Estate Plessen, Frederiksted when he heard several shots and realized he was shot in the leg. The victim was transported to the hospital by private vehicle.

Police said there is an active ongoing investigation by the Criminal Investigations Bureau into the shootings.
