Woman Tells Police She Was Driven To Altona Lagoon And Raped Late Saturday Night

CHRISTIANSTED — A St. Croix woman told police she was driven to Altona Lagoon on the waterfront and brutally raped late Saturday night.

On Saturday May 5, 2018 at about 11:50 p.m., the 911 Emergency Call Center received a call reporting a sexual assault in the Altona Lagoon, Christiansted.

When police arrived on the scene they found a woman who said that she was in Christiansted going to meet with friends when a tan-colored male individual met her and started up a conversation.

The man then offered her a ride and told her he could drop her off to meet with her friends.

He then took her in the Altona Lagoon area, Christiansted and sexually assaulted her.
