POLICE: St. Thomas' Kervaughn Benjamin Allegedly Pointed Gun At Construction Crew

CHARLOTTE AMALIE — A woman told police that a man came to her property and pointed a gun at people doing work on her house.

According to the Virgin Islands Police Department, the incident took place on August 22 at about 4:00 p.m. and the woman called the 911 Emergency Call Center to report it.

Police responded to the scene and upon further investigation VIPD Detectives were able to locate the suspect.

Kervaughn Benjamin, 21, was arrested about 7:25 a.m. Monday and charged with third-degree assault, VIPD spokesman Glen Dratte said.

Benjamin’s bail was set at $25,000.00 by Order of the Court, according to Dratte.

Benjamin was processed and turned to the Bureau of Corrections pending an advice of rights hearing.
