POLICE: St. Thomas’ C’Keem Lewis Arrested On Illegal Gun Possession Charges

CHARLOTTE AMALIE — A St. Thomas man was arrested on illegal gun possession charges on Wednesday evening.

On Wednesday, September 12, 2018, at approximately 6:00 p.m., units from the Criminal Investigation Bureau along with units from the Special Operations Bureau traveled to Contant Knolls, to execute a search warrant.

Upon the execution of the warrant, a firearm and numerous rounds of ammunition were found inside the residence, the Virgin Islands Police Department said.

C’Keem Lewis, 24, was subsequently charged with constructive possession of a firearm and unauthorized possession of ammunition, according to the VIPD.

Unable to post the $25,000 bail, Lewis was processed and turned over to custody of the Bureau of Corrections, pending an advice-of-rights hearing.
