St. Thomas’ Syanno Venzen Accused Of Multiple Counts of Child Abuse, Unlawful Sexual Contact

CHARLOTTE AMALIE — A St. Thomas man who is accused of having inappropriate sexual contact with two female minors was arrested on Monday.

Syanno “Juice” Venzen, 22, of Charlotte Amalie was arrested at 7:12 a.m. on Monday and is charged with child abuse and unlawful sexual contact, the Virgin Islands Police Department said.

Venzen is accused of the crimes based on an incident that is alleged to have occurred at a house in Anna’s Retreat on August 19, 2018, according to the VIPD.

When an adult female said that Venzen was having inappropriate sexual contact with two female minors, VIPD detectives investigated the charges.

A warrant for Venzen’s arrest was drawn up on September 18 based on the results of the investigation.

Detectives made contact with Venzen and he agreed to turn himself in to authorities on Monday morning.

Unable to post bail of $10,000, Venzen was remanded to the custody of the Bureau of Corrections pending further court action.

Venzen says on social media’s Linkedin that he is currently a student at the University of the Virgin Islands (UVI).
