St. Thomas Parent Arrested For Stabbing Outside of Ulla Muller Elementary School

CHARLOTTE AMALIE — Two parents got in a brawl outside an elementary school on St. Thomas and one parent was stabbed and another arrested.

The incident led to Ulla Muller Elementary School being put on lockdown for a brief period, eyewitnesses said.

On Thursday, September 13, 2018 at about 7:45 a.m. the 911 dispatch reported that two parents were involved in a physical altercation outside of the school premises of the Ulla Muller Elementary School.

When police arrived at the public school they interviewed the brawling parties and Josaira Augustin Romero admitted to using a knife during the altercation, the Virgin Islands Police Department said.

Romero, 23, was then arrested and charged with third-degree assault and possession of a dangerous weapon, according to the VIPD.

Unable to post $25,000.00 bail, Romero was remanded to Bureau of Corrections pending advice of rights hearing.
