FREDERIKSTED — A wanted St. Croix man police have been searching for for five days is now in police custody.
Callixtus “Cactus” Ettienne, 24, was arrested about 1:42 p.m. on Monday after he was served with a bench warrant from the Superior Court.
Unable to post bail in the amount of $250,000.00 Ettienne was transported to the Golden Grove Adult Correctional facility where he was remanded.
The Virgin Islands Police Department said that the arrest came about because Ettienne was located by detectives from the Criminal Investigation Bureau.
On July 24, 2018, at approximately 3:01 p.m. police from the Wilbur Francis Command Police Station were dispatched to a reported Home Invasion that occurred in the La Valley Area.
Upon arrival contact was made with an adult male, who stated that he, his family and a friend were robbed at gun point while at their residence.
Detectives from the Criminal Investigation Bureau discovered one of the male suspects was Ettienne.
An arrest warrant, was signed by a Magistrate Judge, for the arrest of Callixtus Ettienne aka “Cactus” on September 7, 2018. .
